Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, GainLine may handle your account email and sign-in provider, profile name and username, profile image, training routines, workout sessions, activity entries, nutrition entries and goals, and information you choose to share with friends. If you join the optional launch waitlist, we also store the email address you submit and when you consented to receive launch updates.
GainLine does not need access to your location to record a workout. If you choose a profile image, the app requests access to your photo library so you can select one.
Where information is stored
GainLine uses Supabase for account authentication and for account data that syncs, such as routines, workout history, profile and social features, signed-in nutrition data, and waitlist sign-ups.
Standalone activity entries, your selected profile image, and some preferences are stored locally on your device and may not transfer automatically to another device. Nutrition entries and goals from older or demo use may be migrated to your account when you sign in and use the relevant feature.
When using a development demo build, demo data is kept separately on that device and is not the same as a production account.
Sign-in providers
You can sign in with email and password. On supported Apple devices, you may choose Sign in with Apple. Apple and Supabase handle authentication information under their own privacy policies and terms. Apple may provide an email address (including a private relay address) and, when available, your name.
Friends and shared workouts
If you connect with friends and share workouts, relevant profile and workout details are made available through the friends features to people you connect with. Avoid including sensitive personal information in workout names or notes you choose to share.
How information is used
- To provide sign-in, profile, workout, activity, nutrition, and friends features.
- To save and display the entries and goals you choose to record.
- To send GainLine launch and waitlist updates to people who opt in through the waitlist form.
- To maintain and protect the app and diagnose service errors.
Retention and account deletion
Your account information is retained while your account is active. You can request permanent account deletion from the Profile area in the app. Deletion removes your authentication account and associated synced records; the app also clears its user-scoped local data on that device. Data in service-provider backups or security logs may persist for a limited time under those providers’ retention practices.
Waitlist email addresses and consent timestamps are used to manage the waitlist and send launch updates. To unsubscribe from updates or request removal of your waitlist details, email Gainlinesupport@outlook.com from the address you used to sign up and ask us to remove your waitlist entry. We’ll use your email to verify and process the request, then remove the waitlist record.
Your choices
- You can choose whether to add optional profile details, nutrition goals, and a profile image.
- You can control photo-library permission in your device settings.
- You can delete your account from Profile in the app.
- You can stop using the app and remove local app data through your device settings.
- You can email us to ask about the personal information associated with your account or to request correction or deletion. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
